That was an amazing race! I am glad the girl won, but I was secretly wishing Mine That Bird would take her, just for the chance of a Triple Crown winner! Anyways, I am still happy that a girl could beat the boys! She is an awesome horse and I just love her unusual face markings!
Totally off your subject cause I just read your book review blog a few posts back...thanks, I'll get them from the library--I have to b/c I read 2-3 books a week and can't afford my reading addiction any other way! Anyway, you MUST read "The Hour I First Believed" by Wally Lamb. Also, if you've never read any of his books they are incredibly thought provoking and powerful, you will most likely really like him! --Mindy
Yeah - I was pretty happy with the race and hope they stick her in the Belmont and don't wuss out.
I think with the right technique and better footing - she will stand up to the distance.
Weren't you also happy with Mine That Bird?! I was happy he showed the world he wasn't a fluke - cheaper horses can be better than expensive ones - there is still hope for the little guys in racing.
