Well, she's done it again. Rachel Alexandra, the filly who won the second leg of the Triple Crown, (the Preakness) has cemented herself as one of the greatest, if not the greatest, racing Thoroughbred filly of all time by becoming the only filly to win the Woodward Stakes...and she did it as a three-year-old against a field of more mature four-year-old (and older) boys! The call is pretty darn exciting...
She is breathtaking!
ReplyDeleteI wasn't very happy about how things were handled by her new owners when they put her in the Preakness.
But there is no doubt that she is an absolute phenom.
RA is amazing but I have to still love Ruffian :)
ReplyDeleteAnother great race for the big filly. She is a wonder horse
ReplyDeletewhat an awesome race! thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteI love it - she was the only clean one cause she was never behind anyone.
ReplyDeleteI am just so in love with that filly! Disappointed that she didn't run in the Belmont but I think her owners made the right decision - we don't need anymore breakdowns on the track, and Rachel needed a break.
Oh, I hadn't heard, thanks for sharing that! I thought she looked so amazing in the Preakness. Girl power! :)
ReplyDeleteThis brought a tear to my eye! She is really an amazing horse.
