My Art- a Self Promotion!

Well... Self promotion has never been my strong suit but I am going to go right a head and give it a go anyways! Earlier in the year I thought that I would put aside doing pet portraits and try to focus on Fine Art Prints but with the holidays coming up I figured it might be a good time to pick up a few orders! Maybe to help expand the "I want that Palomino mare fund??!!" lol

So....Here are a few examples of my work. For details please check out

www.freewebs.com/fineartpetportraits .

...and if you like them, please feel free to pass along my address to your friends.

Thanks!

Please note that these are photographs of the actual piece. The paper color is actually white and some detail is lost from the original.

  1. Your work is absolutaly gorgeous! I wish I could make the time to pick up my art pencils and sketch pad again. Between work, two barns, drill, etc, I barely have time for what i already have on the go. I miss my highschool days where I could consume myself with paints, pencils, and a few hours to put my skills to paper. Your work is beautiful! I'm jealous.

  7. WOW. That's what I have to say. Detail lost? Impossible. They are all so perfect. There are so many extremely talented people in this blogging world :) (mugs, laura crum, YOU)I am however definitely not one of them. I hope you sell lots and we start hearing of this palamino filly you buy hehe.

  8. Ahhhhh...you are totally awesome, girlfriend!!!!

My kids came over and looked, and they were like "those are not drawings, mom, those are pictures (as in photographs)!"

You have amazing talent, and I am now jealous of you, for I can only draw like that in my dreams! :)

  9. Holy Smokes those are gorgeous!!!

I love them - considering hubby will be out of a job soon I am not in the market for a print - however if I get a nice settlement from the accident I would love to add one of your prints to my art collection.

I am kinda funny I draw too - but refuse to hang up any of my work in the house - its not that i think is wrong, its just wrong for me. Besides I enjoy buying art and collecting it.

But I will only by stuff that is good and has a "style" different from my own - stuff I feel will increase in value as the artist matures and gets well known. I am sure you too have done the "Oh that's nice painting/drawing/whatever - but passed on buying it because you could do the exact same thing for free.

I would like to let you know I would have no problem purchasing one of your prints and adding it to my collection if i wasn't trying so hard to save all my cashola.

Thanks for sharing with us I will be sure to send your site along to my friends.

  13. I'm super, really, very impressed! Where have you been hiding all of this talent???
I remember drawing horses ALL of the time when I was a kid/teen. There was this girl Kim who also rode, and she could draw better horses than I. It was my quest to be better than her!! Hee!
I still draw horses for the kids at school occasionally, but oh dear, it's sad now. I mean, the kids think they are great...but...they are 4! If you don't use it, you lose it, that is for sure.
Maybe someday I can have you sketch a pic of my spotted stinker boy! :)
