Speaking of Eye's I Love and Ladybugs!

This dog... he's got my heart for now and forever.

In our home, all creatures great and small are welcome...

....well almost all creatures.... I dont usually welcome insects.... however, I've never quite been able to bring myself to kill a ladybug... unless you count sucking them up with the vacuum (but I like to think that they dont really die when I do that)....

Even LuLu doesn't seem to know what to make of them...

Here is LuLu sniffing out a ladybug....

Here is the ladybug sniffing out LuLu....

(Note Pingu watching (from the Kleenex box) in the background.)

When you find a ladybug in your house do you sweep it up and toss it out the door, leave it alone or *gasp* kill it?

**No ladybugs were harmed in the making of this post**

  2. We never kill ladybugs! They eat aphids and aphids eat plants. We love ladybugs.

  3. Must NOT kill the ladybugs.

It is considered good luck if they land on you.;)

  4. Lady bugs equal LUCK! We are actually buying some to add to this years garden! Love the pics of your critters! I have such a hard time with the pet green eye, even when I use the pet mode on my camera! I can't get rid of it, and it makes me sad!

  5. Cute pictures! I try not to kill ladybugs either... .Although we've had these weird orange ones around here the past few years and apparently they aren't the good ones or something.

  6. I leave them, but the cats do not share my benevolence.

  7. We were always taught that if we must move them, they were to go on a plant. I gather mine up on a piece of paper and transfer to my spider plants.

  8. Great pics, how did you get such a good focus on that tiny insect? You must have a nice lens! :)
I don't like insects in my place. I mostly have potato bugs (sow bugs) and spiders. Not that a spider is an insect, technically. I have to kill the spiders. Putting them outside would not work, they'd just come back in. If I found a ladybug, I would not kill it. They don't bother me. I would put it outside. I hate flies though, both house an crane flies. Those have to go! I got new windows and screens this year- yahoo! Now the buggies can't some in.

  9. We try not to kill ladybugs, but this fall they decided to swarm our house. So, that means if I went outside they were in my hair, down my shirt, in my bra... You get the picture. It was a bit over the top. We would find them in the house, on the house, everywhere! A few seem to have decided to winter over inside. We try not to kill them, but there is a limit to what I can take in the house and how many.

  10. I think I remember something about good luck if a lady bug lands on you so no killing of lady bugs, I can use all the luck I can get.
