My Darling Mother

I am sure that anyone who read the comment section of "Bad Ass Cowgirls" will know without a doubt what a spectacular mother I have. She is my number one fan and the greatest woman I know. I have never even attempted to write about my Mom. I have always found it easy to pull words out of myself in order to describe just about any thought or emotion but there are truly no words to describe how much I love my mother or how important she is to me. My mother is an endless source of strength, support and love. She is beautiful and talented and a remarkable spirit. Everyone that meets her feels drawn to her brilliant smile, dazzling eyes and nuturing spirit. She is the lady that taught me to walk tall with my shoulders back, and with pride. She is everything a woman should be and the best friend and mother a girl could ask for. She is simply amazing. And she outed me! LOL!! I had to write and give her heck for using my first name. When I first started writing here my anonymity was very important to me. It afforded me the freedom to step outside of myself and write unreservedly about my thoughts and opinions. But the more I write, the more I realize how much of my soul I put in to my words and stories. And that regardless if names are shared or not, there is no anonymity in what I write. I am so thankful that I was given such a unique and supportive mother, who always encouraged me to express myself creatively and otherwise. It was she that so lovingly guided me (as much as you can guide a cart with a wonky wheel) through life. It is, to a very large extent, because of her irrefutable love that I am spiritually whole today. Thank you, mom. I love you.

Sincerely,

Chelsi (aka Horse Crazed Mind)

  2. I loved your mom's comment. It's okay that she "outed" ya. I have noticed that is the cool thing about the blogger community, even if people know your real name, you are still pretty much your "handle" away from your own blog.;)

Sorry I missed the post on the $40,000 Nag...that was great. We'll get back into that discussion, becuase I enjoy having other horse people to talk to about such things! I don't consider it a hijack at all, I'm glad other people find it intersting too.

Love the "old timey" photo too. I have always wanted to do one of those and I would probably dress the same way as you guys...of course there would be guns included...duh!!LOL

  4. Hi Lisa and LaTonne!! lol! it is So weird to think of you'all with different names! You are right, you both are still Cnd and BEC to me. Isnt my mom sweet!?

BEC- sorry you missed that post, it was right up your alley. I guess I shouldnt have said "nag" because all of the horses had good qualities but the over all picture was hard for me to grasp.

Ill admit that the old time photo dresses were a little icky! But it was worth it. I love that photo.

  5. My poor mother had her hands full with me and she totally didn't get me at all. It's much better now that we're adults. And she has become my biggest fan.

And nice to meet all of you :-)

  6. OMG...what a sweet post, and what touching comments below, left by your mom!!

I am not that close to my mom, nor anyone else in my immediate family, except for my sister Amber.

There is quite a lot of dysfunction and denial that goes on there, but I still love them...I just can't always stand them.

Nice to meet you Chelsi, Lisa, and LaTonne!!!!
You will still be your blog names to me also :)

  7. Chelsi, if I had a name that cute, I'd probably out myself, too! ;)
I know what you mean about the anonymity....it is important to me, but, has become a little less so as time has passed. I've always been so SHY! Heck, I even hid my HORSE's name for months (I know, I have issues. :)
Your mom sounds fabulous! It made me want to go and hug my mom!

  8. Chelsi huh? Yes, nice to meet you - can't remember if I knew that or not...

You all know my real name.

Great post on your mom...my mom is also my number one fan! Perhaps I will do one on her sometime soon - you've inspired me!

  9. Awwww, your Mom is amazing. I loved her comment. She truly aores you and respects you for who you are.

Never take that for granted, k?
My Mom died when I was 8 yrs old. Something so precious as a loving and supportive Mother/Daughter relationship is something never to be taken for granted. :)
